Warnock lost on his bike with Bettinelli & his agent waiting

Most (especially younger) managers wouldn't admit to a thing like that so we'd never know, they've grown up around Lamborghinis and what not and are fairly image conscious. Warnock has the ability to laugh at himself that many managers don't. It hasn't worked so well in the PL for him but at every other level it has. Fingers crossed it works again here.(y)

I think he just because he has all those years of experience behind him that he can be relaxed with the press, as he's not really going to get mocked for it. I suspect there's elements of it that are probably a bit of an act to get fans and press on side, but he does it well.

Yes I agree.

Am looking forward to actually going to press conferences - Warnock is really funny and relaxed at press conferences. He enjoys it and knows we all enjoy it. But on the Zoom he is also a real gentleman, he thanks everyone after they have given questions and makes sure he can see us individually to address us when we asks questions. It is entertaining but also he is giving some gems of quotes. Interesting words drawn from all those years of experience. I mentioned Lennie Lawrence to him today because Lennie was another with so much experience in the game and he had worked his way up from nowhere like Warnock. Am sure any of us old enough will remember so many Lennie-isms - he was often lambasted for his after match radio interviews but there are so many things that he said that have been proven time and again. I think similarly there will be a lot to remember from Warnock's year with us.

Loved listening to Lennie, he was so honest. Perhaps too honest, especially in the 92/93 relegation season....he told everyone we hadn't 'adapted to the new back pass law', our defending was 'naive in the extreme' and he had told the players 'till I'm blue in the face':). Good times!
