Warnock coming up on Talksport

Nothing new on Boro, really, beyond his opinion on 5 subs.
Watched the Northern Ireland match instead of England because of McNair and complained how much he played during the break.

I'm not sure we've ever brought on 3 subs? Hardly ever. It's usually 1 or 2.

II don't see how it can 'hurt'. You can have a few more options with injuries or maybe throw on another attacker if losing with 10 mins to go. You could also get a couple of Fringe academy lads in and around the squad.

That said I'd still doubt we will have a full bench on sat.

It hurts us because teams with bigger, more competitive squads can take advantage and we cannot.
We've not made 3 subs all season, we're almost definitely not going to make 5.

We have a far better squad than many champo sides (or maybe I should say individual players). I know the likes of Norwich and Forest etc are well stocked. They are also 'stocked' with many who don't kick a ball.

I think the argument is far more relivent in the premier league. I think last season man City hand 300mil of subs and Sheff UTD had 40mil (or something like that)

I would imagine man for man our starting 11 and 9 subs is stronger than over half of the champo. So that puts us at an 'advantage'. That said whether Warnock trusts or fancies many on the bench is another question. The lack of game time for the likes of Wing / Roberts suggests maybe not.

I understand his frustrations around McNair, especially when he pulled up on Saturday with a tight muscle.

Absolute madness to play him for 90 mins last night. They had already been relegated and it was the very definition of 'meaningless'

Only Paddy and Dallas played 90 mins in all 3 games.

Problem is it's a fine line between losing the game and perhaps losing your job -- Baraclough probably was thinking about his job more than McNair's legs when he selected him.
