Warnock - Brit wasn’t injured he was just not selected

No I don't remember anyone thinking that

There was plenty, it was all the manager’s fault. He’s singling him out in pressers, asking him to do things he can’t do, etc.

Reality is he’s s***e with the heart of a pea.

I've not been convinced by Akpom. Britt has been good in fits and starts but doesn't fit in our current style. And hasn't for ages. Making him captain has massively back fired

Fletch maybe a half-asred forward solution for Warnock, but really that's where the money needs spending next year. A plan and a striker or two that fit the bill

Hilarious well see next season when were still lumping the ball forward and the midfield are still too negative and unfit.
TBF I see where you’re coming from but aside from that when you look at the return we’ve had from Britt & Fletcher for their £22m+ fees (plus big wages) then I don’t think we need to mourn their loss.

Clearly need a fair few new attacking threats in summer, including two new strikers.

Britt and Fletcher both hit double figures last season in a team that flirted with relegation and with less quality in attacking midfield positions.

So either they're not as bad as some make out, or the service from midfield isn't as bad as some make out. But it can't be both as rubbish strikers wouldn't manage 10+ goals in a team with no creativity.

We'll never know how Fletcher would have done this year if fit. No reason to think he wouldn't have hit double figures though. Britt's head has long gone (and his all round game is sub standard anyway) and Akpom is genuinely poor.

Definitely need 2 new strikers though.

When you look at our side now we have quite a few who will leave /return to clubs in the summer ,also MJ is out of contract , we have a potential major rebuild on our hands. Britt won't be missed, a sad end, but totally about his carefree attitude , half ar5ed performances , think Fletcher may do a marvin & sign a year. Wages are the biggest problem , but no bad thing for all the wages in the leagues to reduce & a bit of realism to come in . With what he has Warnock has done well to keep us around it all & far rather have him looking for bargains than many others

4 years is enough to make a judgement on the likes of Britt and Fletcher.

If we want to be promotion contenders neither are good enough. Scraping to 10 goals certainly isn’t the benchmark (Fletchers career stats suggest even that’s optimistic)

I never said it was and clearly isn't the point I was making, but fine whatever.

I've no problem with Fletcher as a backup. People are deluded if they think we can bring in 2 strikers who'll cruise to 15+ goals a season. They're hard to find as we know. I think he'll probably move on though.

I think we'll aim to bring in a main man who'll hopefully be capable of that. And another cheaper option who can at least hold the ball up and bring others into play, but who maybe isn't prolific.

I keep seeing the slagging off of all our strikers aguero wouldnt get 10 in this team. Maybe confidence is gone after feeding on balls that are utter *****. If you think a new striker is gonna solve all our problems your wrong.
Need a replacement for howson, Johnson, spence, bolasie, lang we are rank. Half the champ would love our 3 strikers.
the bottom half

And yet Warnock has alluded to bringing in just 3 players? So potentially a weaker squad numerically? Will be needing far more than 3 in !

He had his best seasons at Peterborough & Forest, the twin knee knacks really didn't help him... & was my fear when we bought him: he'd have lost his pace & power.. ( I still thought he'd be decent in front of goal 1:2 - 43/23 & 65/30 ) however his very uninspiring goal return for us of 1:3 144/45 is just no where near good enough when combined with his, general poor, team play..

Seems Rangers are interested & I think a poor SPL is about his level now.. the shocking thing is he's now in his prime at 28 & should be in the form of his life - if he applied himself he'd be signing for a PL club on a big contract... as it is he'll be pulling a Rudy & hoping to con one last fat'ish enough contract for the next few seasons before his drops out of football altogether..

I want all 3 to leave in the summer, so don't care who he picks for these last 8 matches.
They are all crap and none of them put a shift in.
Fletcher yesterday was so powder puff it was sickening, especially after how little Akpom got involved in the first half.
Meanwhile Assombolonga can't even be trusted on the bench.
