Working hypothesis: the same people who accuse Steve Gibson of being lazy when he appoints someone young and/or local and/or already employed will praise this one to the heavens because they've seen him on the telly before he arrived. When in fact he has, depressingly, done the job he was brought in for, and retaining him now is the true laziness.

We could appoint some maverick who has taken the Austrian second division by storm and it could go either way.Working hypothesis: the same people who accuse Steve Gibson of being lazy when he appoints someone young and/or local and/or already employed will praise this one to the heavens because they've seen him on the telly before he arrived. I think he was more accused of being stupid and cheap with the Woodgate appointment.Working hypothesis: the same people who accuse Steve Gibson of being lazy when he appoints someone young and/or local and/or already employed will praise this one to the heavens because they've seen him on the telly before he arrived. spot onI don’t think anyone has ever accused Gibson of being lazy. I would suggest that he is anything but. There are other adjectives that could rightly be thrown at him, but not lazy. If Warnock is on a years contract or rolling contract, thats a positive step forward for the team and club as a whole. Warnock has given much of the fanbase new optimism and hope. Given the right signings, to play the way he wants, he will have Boro competing in the top half. Nobody expects miracles next year, we do expect to see us no longer capitulating at home though and that is vital for the clubs revenue that it does get Its recruitment right for once. Whatever happens, I am sure we will not fall backwards from our recent flirt with league one.
