When will you wake up!

While fathers are not allowed in birthing rooms, and we might be allowed 24 hours to see our families at Christmas!

The tories are taking the P..s

When will people realise, they have divided us so they can do what they want!

we need a revolution, we need proportional representation and accountability of our elected government!
 
PR would be amazing but will never happen. Those in power will never allow it to happen (including labour).

They can do what they want because too many in the electorate are ignorant when it comes to politics resulting in a massive majority for a party with an appalling track record. Marketing, propaganda and lies won the day (as ever) unfortunately.

There is nothing to stop them doing what they want till the next election now. They'd have to do something pretty radically wrong to provoke any significant rebellion from the back benches. Worse than intentionally planning to break international law apparently.

For all that I don't believe there is a sinister motive behind any of the decisions related to handling the pandemic. I think what you're seeing is just down to gross incompetence.
 
Again with this we had a vote, thing change! thats politics and people can change there minds and vote a different way.

An example of this will be Scotland leaving the union after originally voting to stay!
 
AV isn't PR. It's just a different version of FPTP.

In FPTP the "post" is just +1 vote compared to the next highest candidate.
In AV the "post" is 50%+1 vote. And you kick candidates out until someone reaches that. It's essentially the voting system for X Factor.

If that hasn't made it clear enough, consider this - the Greens and UKIP probably wouldn't get any extra seats under AV, and the SNP probably wouldn't lose any of their seats.

Was going to post the same. Yet as evidenced in this thread that doesn't stop the powers that be from claiming the country overwhelmingly rejected PR and people believing it.
 
We have a vote every 4 years for people to change things and they decided not to. They have been taking the **** out of the majority of us for their entire time in power and their majority has continued to grow. Why will it be any different now?
