Visiting the area the week after next

I am after a little help folks. I was thinking of visiting the area to catch up with family the week after next, maybe the 6th and 7th of November.

My sister lives in Yarm, My daughter in Stockton and my Dad in Middlesbrough.
Are all of those areas in Tier 2 currently?
Are any of those areas likely to go into Tier 3 in the next 10 days?

@rob_fmttm Have you noticed that the forum picks up Middlesbrough as a spelling mistake? God I hope my spelling is OK or I am in for pelters.

Thanks in advance

I don't think you will be able to stay over or socialise inside in Tier 2 or Tier 3.

That said we live in South Doncaster and we have booked to go to The Deep next tuesday.

Right for Tier 2; don't think any household mixng allowed outside in Tier 3.

Just typing the word Middlesbrough - could it be your browser, perhaps as I must type that word successfully many times a day.

Thanks fella's much appreciated, I will cancel my trip. It's bananas. My daughter is isolating as is the entire year 5 from her school, but me and her mum don't have to isolate. A friend of ours has an older daughter at the same school who also has to continue going to school whilst the younger one isolates. The application of these rules is laughable.

Rob I only get the problem with the spelling of Middlesbrough on this forum.. Odd.

Tier 2 you can meet outside not Tier 3

You could stay with your father if he lives on his own, but probably not your sister and daughter - under support bibble rules. I assume your dad is over 65.

If its goes Tier 3 I would not bother. I am in a similar situation.

The current trend in the North East is down according to the Health Secretary, still too early to call. So those areas you mentioned will stay in Tier 2 for some time yet . More reason to put your trip on hold.

Over 500 cases on Teesside today. The highest by some way.

This is where these rules become more difficult to interpret - can your dad have two seperate bubbles - common sense says no, but you never know.

Thats around 0.15% of the local population - 200 days of that rate of infection are thats 30% of the local population!

We have had roughly 240 days of infections.

He sees my sister who lives in Yarm. I haven't seen him since last christmas.

I feel for you there Laughing
It was me mum’s 83rd birthday last week and we would normally go up and take her out last weekend.
Given all the noise we decided to do it a week earlier - fortunate for us btw.

Incidentally she lives on her own in Yarm - shall we get them on a blind date :love:
