Pinnacle is very easy to operate / navigate, I'm not too good on a PC & I mastered it quite well, added music, photos, slides etc to videos

As is Openshot. I recommended it to someone with few PC skills and they managed to produce some excellent videos.

Yes. It's Linux native open source but ported to Apple and Windows.
