Very tough game coming up against Hull City

They were my tip as this seasons dark horses before the season started and they are right up there with a chance of the playoffs. Liam Rosenoir is an excellent up and coming young manager imo, plays good football whilst having a fairly modest budget to work with. They gave us a good game last season, despite us eventually running out 3-1 winners. They did lose their star summer signing Jadon Philogene to a second half injury on Saturday at QPR - he’ll be missing on Wednesday, but we are going to be fielding a weakened side ourselves of course. Going to be another tough game for us this one i reckon.

They have both wingers out, we have Isaiah back - Boro 3-1 Hull.

We don't want to lose this one, it will put us far behind the playoffs if other results go against us. So we need a much improved performance than Saturday. More attack minded please.

I would also like to see us being more attack minded than we were on Saturday. For me, playing Van Den Berg as a full back just doesn’t work as he offers nothing in an attacking sense, particularly when we at home and the emphasis is usually more on us to attack than in an away fixture. Move VDB to centre back next to Fry or Clarke - I’m guessing McNair won’t be fit enough to play. Djiksteele should be in at right back for his offensive threat up and down that right sid, and he also has a good understanding with Jones

Dijksteel, Crooks and Jones are an excellent trio together too, as we all know. Against Preston they linked up very well.👍

If Djiksteel plays, hopefully Carrick has had a word with him about his decision making and concentration levels. He needs to read the game much better to be truly effective.
