Does the car you are looking at have any sort of owners club?
If so ask them… they will usually have a look for you or know someone that can.

If you’re on FB, join the “Road to nowhere” group. It’s all local hotrod and yanktank owners. They have a meet next Tuesday at the OK Diner on the A19, near Elwick. There will be lots of cars and knowledgeable folk there.

I suppose you could try Matthewsons at Thornton-le-Dale, the Bangers and Cash people. They might be able to recommend someone.
