JOIN IN VE DAY THEMED EVENTS WITH LOVE MIDDLESBROUGH

SEVEN hours of VE Day themed activities are scheduled to take place on Love Middlesbrough's social media pages this Friday (May 8).

This Bank Holiday Friday will see Britain commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.

To mark the occasion the Love Middlesbrough team have put together a jam packed day of activities - all in video form so everyone can join in the fun while staying safe at home.

Aside from the online activities, Middlesbrough Council and Redcar and Cleveland Council have joined forces to encourage residents to turn streets into outdoor art galleries by decorating their windows with VE Day themed displays.
