I watch MOTD now and I can’t remember what it used to be like. All they talk about is VAR now, and on the goals round-up on MOTD2 they just go through the key VAR decisions.

I’d quite like to see, as an experiment, an episode where VAR is completely ignored. Only goals that stood are shown, and treated as if they always stood, and no disallowed goals, no mention of VAR in the punditry. Just for nostalgia’s sake.

A good start would having full time specialist VAR's. It should be viewed as a skill in its own right, as refereeing and being a linesman is.

Yep. I thought it was quite telling that when they released the audio of that spurs / Liverpool **** up it was the VAR operator who pointed out the error !!
