Van Den Berg out for 4 weeks

FFS are we unlucky or does every club get disrupted with early season injuries like this.
Our injury record since Carrick has taken over has been horrific.
It's not just early season injuries is it. It feels like there is some sort of new injury every single week.

I am not sure if there is an implication in your comment that Carrick is to blame for our injury situation - I refuse to believe it and no evidence that his training regimes are any more arduous than previous managers - but our record I agree is frustrating

No it was more a comment of his awful luck. A good portion of our injuries over the last 18 months have been impact injuries which are sort of unavoidable.

If we were picking up an above average amount of strains and muscular injuries, I would question whether we are managing the game time well enough when playing a high press.

Step forward, Harley Hunt.
Has anyone seen much of him in the pre-season games and ready to give a bit of an update? I haven't seen him kick a ball, in fact I wouldn't recognise him if I walked past him in the street. Clearly to pay money for a 17 year old, he must have serious potential. He's basically one injury away from starting in front of 25k+ people in the 5th best league in europe, after about 80 minutes at League Two and a handful of reserve games.

I know someone who has seen him play regularly within the setup.
He's very impressed.

Very physically developed for his age as well. Similar to VDB

that physical bit is obviously a huge part as a CB, if he isn't physically able to complete, it would be a train wreck, good to hear

Carrick on Rav: 'We're going to see how he is tomorrow'

'Howson is a bit further down the line.'

'Lucas has a wrist problem but he should be fine'

Do you remember Warnock having his entire back four out injured? Injuries to Tavernier and Gibson cost us massively in the final run ins too! Ameobi disappeared without a trance, Fisher suffered a horrific career ending injury..

what did we have before that Willo Flood's dislocated knee? Baptiste's double leg break.. Abella's Cruciate.. Matty Bates multiple cruciate injuries, Rhys William's achilies..

No drama….bring in Dickie Steel for Rav or go 3-5-2
