Will be needed to enter a nightclub from Sept. and other venues where large numbers gather………
football grounds
pub ( ie a night club where it’s illegal to dance)
shops, etc etc etc
 
Lib Dems have said they'll vote against them. I imagine a fair few Tories will aswell. Labour as always will vote with Johnson.

Yes, there would be enough voting against it. It would just need Labour to come out against them but I don't hold out much hope of that. A weak and feeble opposition. My Labour MP is still wittering on about borders..... (It's endemic, discussions about borders are pointless at this stage - it doesn't matter).
 
Worth remembering some immune issues prevent you having the vaccine, surely discrimination against quite a few people. Don’t see what’s wrong with the negative tests before attending as an option

I don't see what's wrong with having a strategy for zero covid.

Everyone of Johnsons hit and hope strategies are failing as will this.

Do you mean the type of negative test required for sporting events - Web site asks if your lateral flow test was negative or positive - I want to go to the match - should I select negative or positive mmmmm - Think it will be negative. Its a complete joke. At least the double jab passport will be harder to get round. If you can't have the vac then the app should also be able to identify this.
 
I'm all in favour of this, we don't police things as much as we should in this country and that is why we fail over and over again. The app should show:

Vaccinated
Not Vaccinated
Ineligible for vaccination
 
Vaccination passports for venue entry won't happen in the uk without Johnson being kicked out of no 10.

It shouldn't happen because it creates a 2 tier social system that is morally dubious and impacts people who cannot be vaccinated as well as those who won't.

It will increase the cost of social events as people absorb the increased cost of managing this.

It would take me an afternoon to decompile the nhs app and add vaccination data. It isn't secure enough, difficult to implement and open to abuse hence pointless.

For those who think it's a sensible idea I do wonder what else you would put up with in the name of covid.

If they are ever introduced expect social score passports to follow soon after.
 
I may be showing my ignorance here of all things technological, but what is to stop someone taking a screenshot of their certificate, QR Code etc and sending it to their mate, colleague, relative etc and them saving it to their picture gallery and then eventually showing that to venues to gain access?

I would assume coluka that the nhs app would be required that records your vaccination. Mine interestingly enough, doesn't.
