Unvaccinated staff to be paid for sitting in their cars

That's a bizarre take.

Just get your bloody shots and start being useful.
But I just don't get why they won't get jabbed FFS.
If it's for medical reasons 100% I agree.
But if it's just a fruitcake consipracy dig your heels in I'm not having it situation why should they continue to get paid for a job they can't do?

not sure if that’s the wisest move with how short the NHS actually are. Would it not be better to make them test twice each day instead of loosing staff altogether

It's a difficult situation I think. Hospital transmission has always been a big risk with Covid- for both staff and patients.

If you are at an increased risk of spreading it to other staff or patients and increased risk of contracting it and becoming unwell from staff and patients there is possibly a liability risk from several angles.

The angle they could be taking is they want to keep their unvaxinated staff and patients safer by introducing this measure.

If you were to risk assess vulnerable patients with weakened immunity and the marginal increase in risk to staff and sickness I suspect the easiest option is to take the risk away, rather than manage the risk on a daily basis.

I don't really know what the best strategy is- you are right, the NHS needs the staff at the moment regardless.
