The Nazi's were a genuine threat to the British way of life. The only people Putin is a threat to are the Russians and the poor people in the Ukraine who got caught between two ego-driven great powers.

Hell let's say the Russians are driving tanks down linthorpe road what's going to change? I send my taxes to Moscow to fund a group of inbred oligarchs, as opposed to sending them to London to fund a bunch of inbred aristocrats.

I can imagine what folks in Ukraine must be going through right now. Awful, if forced to you would have no choice I’m guessing. I think we (the world) have been much too slow to act.. it’s almost as if we’re allowing this to happen. Who wants this to happen apart from Putin? The Russians don’t seem to want it, the Ukrainians certainly don’t.. the rest of the world doesn’t like it.

So why is this one guy getting his way?

Because he has the guns and the money, or at the very least is useful to the people who have the guns and the money.
 
I think I'd rather fight for Ukraine than our "government" and half of our people, and I don't think our clowns "in charge" are much better than Putin to be honest, they are just softer (as in weak, fannies).

Been away at "war" a few times in the 2000's and certainly wasn't against it then, actually volunteered, so not afraid of putting myself in harms war, for the right cause.

If I was younger/ with less commitments I'd probably debate going over to actually help, if I could do something related to my old trade.

Not about taxes it's about freedom and democracy.
I get that you'd sit at home and let someone else go out and die for your freedom and democracy.
It's not something you'd ever understand. Thankfully looking at this thread you're in a minority of one.

under 60s women were encouraged to sign up too, 17% of the Ukrainian Army are women - 36000 in combat roles
