Unbelievable comment

So "it's very difficult to see all of you as there are very bright lights", but at the same time, he can see that there "too many white men putting their hands up"
What is it? Is he lying about the lighting? Is he using diversity to mask his sexism and racism?

You do know he's talking about questions asked to previous speakers right?

Questions that were predominantly from white men. From which it's possible to infer that mainly white men were raising their hands in the absence of physically being able to see them.

Though I doubt that's the answer you were looking for.

hypothetically, had it been the Tory Conference and the comment was made about not enough white hands raised, what would your stance be?

It’s possible to infer a lot of things from what he said.

Why is that problem ?

Can you imagine the outcry if he'd say "too many black women".

Both are racist and sexist. End !

He asked for more questions to the next speaker to be from more diverse backgrounds, as the previous questions were from mainly white males.

Feel free to carry on being outraged though.

Outraged? No. Nowhere near. Just asking questions, like; How could he see that there was too many white hands when not 10 seconds before he said that he couldn't see very well as the lights were very bright?

He never said that he could *see* too many white hands though did he? You're attributing words that he never said to fit your own narrative. Why is that?

I watched the same video you did, he is clearly taking about previous questions were from mainly white men (which will have been spotlighted once picked) and wanting a more diverse viewpoint for the next speakers.

He did not need to physically see them clearly to work out mainly white men were raising their hand. If you can't grasp this then I can't answer your question.

I read the comments then went back and played the video, so let me get this straight OP…….You, have a problem with someone encouraging women and someone of a different ethnic background to not be shy and have their voices and opinions heard?
Correct me if I’m wrong.
