Putin is a narcissist therefore dialogue is futile.
You can't get any sense out of him he will change the subject or trot out his reality of lies.
He will be enjoying being in control of the situation, and in the world spotlight.
The best solution would be to help have him removed from within.
He is to dangerous and will use nuclear weapons rather than lose face if backed into a corner.
 
I though Biden was the POTUS? What does Trump have to do with anything? If Trump was in bed with Putin why would he authorise the sale of American built Javelin weapons to the Ukrainians in 2018 and also set the ball rolling to sell the Ukrainians the Iron Dome tech used in Israel which was developed jointly by the Americans and Israel only to see that sale blocked by the Israelis as they didn't want to upset Russia.

Putin is the bad guy. The leaders of the western world are useless at the moment too.

If Putin goes on the offensive past Ukraine I think it'll end up forcing the hands of all the other countries.

The thought of them having Chernobyl as a weapon to unleash untold destruction on the world though is frightening beyond belief.
 
Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova said Thursday that a platoon of Russian soldiers surrendered to the Ukrainian military, saying they "didn't know that they were brought to Ukraine to kill Ukrainians."

At a press briefing, Markarova said, "Just before I came here, we got information from our chief commander that one of the platoons of the 74th motorized brigade from Kemerovo Oblast surrendered."

"They didn't know that they were brought to Ukraine to kill Ukrainians. They thought they were doing something else there," she added.

Would make sense to use Chernobyl as a staging area for an assault on Kiev. Nobody in there right mind would attack that area knowing what could happen.
 
Something I've not seen many people mention when they talk about appeasing Russia by letting them steal the Russian speaking provinces is that Ukraine's president is a native Russian speaker, from an area that used to be classed as part of the Donbas before this crisis, and still has absolutely no interest in being forcibly made Russian.

Speaking Russian does not make you Russian.

Also, with Russia saying they're invading to fight Nazis, Ukraine's President is Jewish.

Never forget Trump’s criminal telephone conversation with Zelenskyy, holding up the £400,000,000 in military aid in return for what was described by the Trump appointee Gordon Sondland as a fictitious investigaton into the Biden’s.

Things like that help to emboldened dictators views of the west. The mantra out of the old Soviet Union was that the west was corrupt and decadent. Putin was brought up with that in the KGB and his dealings with Trump will have likely confirmed that it was correct.

The only positive here is that we don’t have to deal with the “stable genius” as a factor in this tragedy.
