They're businesses, they need to make money. Do you want them to get rid of staff?Sky, BT etc have decided that the public have had enough free stuff.
Even if there are no live attendees , TV for the 2020/2021 will revert back to the normal pay-to-watch idea.
Well clubs need the money without fans in the ground.Sky, BT etc have decided that the public have had enough free stuff.

Article in Times only mentions Premier League games. Also says that some Sky viewing figures have been disappointing low.Does this apply to EFL? Is this just a report at this stage?
Now Leeds have been promoted, who will Sky show on championship games most weeks.
Couldnt agree moreI can't stand the way football authorities have sold the TV rights & the way the sport is delivered to fans, Sky have been detrimental to the attending fans for years, BT is making up for lost time.
They pump more money into the game, however all they have done is widen the gap between the PL & the rest of football, plus make it more & more expensive for fans to attend, expensive to watch on TV & decimate the schedule with games almost any day it seems.
Players benefit with - huge & unmerited - contracts (for the vast majority of little more than jobbing players)
Money has ruined the game & it it is allowed to continue - fit & proper, pffff - the majority of the game will fall away for a few Franchise FC & criminally un-competitive (except for the richest) competition...

All sports have gone the same way though. Things just change. TV isn’t the same as it used to be. There is no going back to only one game per week televised for free though, you can’t put the genie back in the bottle.
Other than the Boro I couldn't really give two hoots for the PL, more in common with the championship & lower leaguesAnybody else feeling less bothered about football?
Unfortunately no you can'tAll sports have gone the same way though. Things just change. TV isn’t the same as it used to be. There is no going back to only one game per week televised for free though, you can’t put the genie back in the bottle.
Unfortunately no you can't
Brian Clough was right, he said too much live football will ruin it
I think sky's choice of matches for the final day of the season showed the begrudging way they felt about showing games free to air.
I think the big impact coronavirus will have is on streaming matches. I think within five years I'll be able to watch every Boro game live via streaming.
