Have to say we were in Kusadasi last June time. Its expensive over there though i thought no were near as cheap as it used to be. Im gettimg married in oludeniz in October. Just hoping weather is still ok and plenty of people and places still open
Shouldn’t you buy after then.Anyone going soon think about buying the TL asap befor the election as ive heard if the president gets kicked out the prices are going to plummet
Beat me to itShouldn’t you buy after then.
whats average price of a beer,im going next month to hisoronu, cheers m8I have been here for 6 weeks. Regularly getting over 24ytl to the £ using my WISE card. This works fine everywhere as a debit card, and you can withdraw up to £200 (in ytl) in cash without other charges (check the ATM before you confirm. Halkbank is free, Akbank isn't). Revolut works in the same way.
Inflation is close to 80%, although the official rate is "down" to 50%. The inflation rate is more than eating away at any increase in the exchange rate e.g. about 10% better than 6 months ago, but a beer is 50% more in YTL.
There is an election next week. If the opposition get in, they will change interest rate policy - and the lira will probably strengthen. Conversely, if Erdoğan wins again, it could slide even more.
..... having said this, it is still a cheap place ..... maybe not as cheap how it used to be ....
Your Turkish currency drop is the wrong way, it could drop to 35 Lira to the pound.Eh why after it drops? If its 24tl to the pound now if i buy and it drops after the election to say 15 then wont i be loosing money? I wouldnt get as much TL buying at 15 as i would right now at 24? What am i missing as its just what ive been told
large draft Efes 50ytl (if you're very lucky) to (normally) 80ytl in regular bars; 120ytl+ in more club-style places.whats average price of a beer,im going next month to hisoronu, cheers m8
