Not sure if this will interest many on here, but TTE are moving and are completely kitting out the new place, there is an auction of the old equipment, not sure my missus will left me have one of the bridgeport machines

certainly " ancient" but made in an era where stuff was built to last.

I bet none of it has ever really worked hard (not like a proper machine shop would) and would still have enough life left in em to see most of us through our remaining days.

Those Bridgeport mills will still be going in 100 years

yes probably, if there had been a dean smith grace lathe, we would have bought it for parts!

Some good stuff on there if you had the room.

They can’t be relocating machinery to the new place then.

It will all be classroom apprenticeships now with no practical work

No! Middlesbrough college have their own, more Modern equipment, and more in line with current industry . It will allow apprentices a better transition into industry, with the skills and knowledge of the current technologies.

Loved TTE when I did my apprenticeship there. I'm so glad to see they're still going, it would be interesting to see the new place they're moving to.

Class of 93 !! Was looking through earlier thinking I remember half that gear
