There is a population of 300-400,000 black bears in Canada and roughly 600 killed each year in culls in populated areas.. and it is these skins which are sold on an international market and the UK purchases 100 a year at a cost of £650 a skin… it takes one full skin to produce one hat…

I do hope we try to move toward a synthetic material but it doesn’t look like they’re going to!

Not exactly the massacre you describe. Bears are not bred to be massacred for their hides in Canada. They are licences given to hunters to legally hunt them, yes, as is the case for many animals over here like dear, elk, beaver etc. Bears that are euthanized are done so humanely. No one wants to see a dead bear but it happens. Bears been massacred for their pelts to be used for the Kings guards? NO.

I saw part of the fly over for this about 1pm this afternoon saw 3 big planes with an escort of two fighters each, then 3 fighters in formation and then I assume it was the red arrows as they where in the V formation. I was in traffic at the time and driving so couldn't look too much or take a photo.
