Trolls off the old board

If he's lucky the 'English Messi' sensation might get a cap before his 21st birthday!
It’s certainly gonna be an interesting one when Silva leaves next season! Wouldn’t surprise me if they just play Bernardo there and Foden again limited to sub appearances. But I hope not as I really rate him and want him to become an England great

Hand on heart, I think Pep will **** himself in the summer at the gap between them and Liverpool, and spend huge on a midfielder to replace Silva. The money's there and he'll find it irresistible to do so (assuming Pep even stays).

The chances of him putting his faith in Foden, with such a mountain to climb, are slim imho.

If we get to this time next season and Foden is still making sporadic sub appearances at the age of nearly 21, he will have to leave if he wants to come even close to fulfilling his potential.

Obviously we all doubt it will happen but if they managed to pull the free transfer signing of Messi off that is being spotted around by a few papers then that’s the replacement sorted.
Imagine a midfield and forward line of Rodri, De Bruyne, Messi , Sterling , Aguero, Mahrez.
That’s actually frightening

It is. It would be very interesting to see how Messi does in the PL. If he wasn't successful, could it sway the Ronaldo-Messi argument in CR7's favour?

I'm about as big a Messi fan as there is, but there's nothing I'd rather not see than Messi moving to the Premier League at 34 years old and tarnishing his legacy. The ship has sailed and I'm doubtful he'd have the impact people imagine he will joining an English club at this point. No chance of it happening anyway though.

I’m the biggest Messi fan going, even have his name tattooed on my ****:ROFLMAO:. So I will always favour Messi, but you will have CR fanboys preying he comes and doesn’t rip up . But if he did come, he would be unreal in my opinion.

I think if Pep does stay at City, then he'll spend big at the back.

Desperately needs 2 CBs. There's only Laporte who's even good enough to be in a team to challenge for the league.

Stones seems to be very injury prone now and has lost his form.
& the less said about Otamendi the better.

I don't think midfield is a priority of City. KDB, Bernardo, Gundogan, Rodri, Fernandinho are all good enough...then there's Foden!

As for attacking/forward....Sterling, Mahrez, Sane, Jesus, Aguero are all fabulous.

Also - can't see them signing Messi. He'll end up staying at Barcelona for the whole of his career.

Look at the old board, now quite a few have jumped on to the new board there isn't one political thread on the opening page of the old board, IMHO, they were posted to get a reaction, now no challengers on & they've stopped

Or it could be that the political posters have all jumped ship? :)

Have you seen much of Barça since Setien arrived Block? I think things are slowly getting better, The Athletic performance in the cup was good despite the defeat and a good win against Betis on Sunday night despite Sergi Roberto. The squad is paper thin without Suarez and that and their inability to defend will be their downfall in the CL I'm sure.

Very true atypical, but until they show their true colours we can assume they don't have the figures to continue with their trolling

Agree with that Parnaby.

Watched the game on Sunday and their defensive frailties will probably cause them heartache in the Champions League and probably La Liga.

Griezmann has certainly not been value for money neither.

Messi again ran the show and if it wasn't for him they'd have left empty handed.

A couple of the assists (especially for the first goal) were incredible passes.

Yeah mate, seen every game bar the cup defeat. I agree they are slowly getting better, it’s Definetly better than it was under Valverde and Seiten Doesn’t seem to have his favourites which was part of Valverdes downfall in my opinion. I do think there best bet is just to get messi on the ball and for midfielders and forward to just run in behind when he gets the ball, the De jong goal the other night was brilliant.

I hope they can keep up the pace with Madrid, the next Classico could be a huge one.

also agree on the champions league, I just can’t see them winning it with the injuries they’ve had, Griezmann hasn’t pulled up any trees at all they are missing Suarez badly.

To be fair if Madrid don't win the league this year then to me it shows a poor league, Atletico are terrible, Barça not firing on all cylinders and yet they haven't pulled away.
Re. Griezmann, I'm not a fan either, it was an ego signing from the president and no fans wanted him. To be fair to him though the defensive side of his game ad tracking back has been impressive, he's obviously good because Atletico have only scored 14 goals this season without him! He's just not the right fit for Barça.

I can’t believe how poor Atletico have been, I think Liverpool are gonna wipe the floor with them in the champions league.

and yeah you would expect Real Madrid to win la Liga this year but with the next Classico being in Madrid I think it gives Barca are greater chance, I always fancy them in the away game for some reason. But I also think Barca are more likely to drop silly points away from home against poor opposition like they have done all season so you never know

Fingers crossed that my team gets promoted this season. Then we can see all of the big teams here. If they maintain current prices I would see the lot for 315 euros. Even with an increase in season tickets prices it would still be good value.
