TRANSFER WINDOW COUNTDOWN - Fuchs & Yakubu & Kane & BILLY IDOL

Thursday 7th April 2022 - The transfer window shuts, available for up to TWO foreign players playing in either Ukraine or Russian Leagues

Can Kieran Scott make the numbers work? Can Karen Nelson get the required international clearance through? Paperwork in before 23:59pm on the 6tgh April - plenty of time

Bruno Fuchs 6'3 23yo - Brazilian Central Defender -CSKA Moscow - perfectly suited to Wilderball and providing much needed cover for the final run in

“Bruno Fuchs is a very structured defender, good at aerial play, but he also knows how to set up. He can untangle himself with the ball and I would say that he is a different player than the other Brazilian defenders.”

Bruno Fuchs has shown his ability to play the ball out from the back with great composure and precise passing. Stats as shown that Fuchs outperforms David Luiz in one of his main strengths, which is playing precise long balls out from the back. David Luiz has an averaged around 5.2 successful long balls per game this while Fuchs superseded the Brazilian veteran defender with an impressive amount of 6.7 long balls per game this season.

1. Fuchs - an end of season promotion cult hero surname.
2. Brazilian - 'He's Brazilian..'
3. 'Clayton Face' - Is it me or does he have Adam Clayton's face? A welcome return to a promotion chasing team (has he got the balls for a group photo?)

Number 12 shirt for extra.. oh wow.. like Uwe factor. Gonna struggle with the number 8 shirt methinks. Frustrating! Can play anywhere in that back three, I dare say ahead of Nathan Wood in terms of development and better going forward that Peltier & Bamba. Bit of an extravagance maybe.. but worth it I think. A few extra players in through this Special Transfer Window just to give us that extra edge. Why not?

Najeeb Yakubu 5'10 21yo - Ghanaian Left Midfielder (can also play rightback) -Vorskla Poltava (Ukraine) - Such a good player with strength and pace, I believe he has switched international allegiance to Nigeria and has also made himself available to play for the Ukraine national team. He made footboom.com's foreign players team of the year 2020 for the Ukrainian premier league along with his Malian team mate left wingback Ibrahim Kane 21yo 5'9 (who has equally cool hair if not slightly cooler) Yakubu & Kane anyone? What a great headline that would make! Najeeb Yakubu I would see as a potential upgrade to Lee Peltier, Back up to Dijksteel and possibly further up the pitch as a wingback. Currently wears the number 5 shirt long vacated by mater of the dark forces, boro beast and cult hero nutbags Sam Morsy.

Ibrahim Kane for me would be very much in mind if a replacement for Neil Taylor was required or if problems continued with injuries with Marc Bola. Yakubu and Kane both team mates, might help them both settle in a little bit better for the forthcoming 8,10, 11 games. Number 8 shirt sat there doing nothing at the mo.. maybe even be cheeky and stick Kane in a number 9 shirt. Yakubu Aiyegbeni wore the number 8 shirt for Nigeria. Both of them being 21 and coming from Ukraine teams.. I heard was easier to get through.

As Billy Idol once said.. MORE MORE MORE!!!

In the words of a great Billy Idol song you’re “dancing with yourself” if you think we are signing any Ukranians.

You’d be right and the transfer window does not apply to Ukrainian players.

Bruno Fuchs is Brazilian and has recently had his contract suspended from a Russian team.

Najeeb Yakubu is from Ghana and Ibrahim Kane is from Mali. UTB!

Ah good Ive woken up to a transfer thread from Newyddion. Who’s he getting in a lather about here. Hmmm Bruno Fuchs. Uwe’s distant cousin. Quick google. Signed for CSKA and didn’t play a game for 15 months between August 2020 and November 2021 through serious injury. First game back. Sent off. Yep. Sign him up.

Granted it was much easier to photoshop Bruno Fuchs..

No harm bring a few players into the U23s
YAKUBU & KANE! Seems like a good opportunity to do our bit supporting our footballing brothers through a very difficult time. If they come up with the goods then they might be the difference between going up or another season in the championship.

We’ve got enough options dawn

After weeks of deliberation and consideration I have selected the two areas two which I would add reinforcements for run in to the playoffs..

Lumley/Daniels

Dijksteel/Peltier
Fry/Fuchs
McNair/Yakubu/Wood

Jones/Gibson
Crookes/Payero
Howson/Boyd-Munce
Tavernier/McGree
Bola/Taylor/Kane

Balogun/Coburn/Sporar
Connolly/Watmore

Signing Yakubu and Kane in the special transfer window is worth doing just for the publicity/public relations. IF ONLY WE HAD REPLICA SHIRTS TO SELL!!

Helped in no small way by FOOTBOOM.com and numerous youtube video clips. I did run the rule over Marcus Antonio at Shakhtar Donetsk with worries of injuries to Payero and McGree.. the Brazilian N'Golo Kante I worried would be to obvious of a choice, perhaps too lightweight, too expensive, to much in demand.. much like his team mate Vinicius Tobias (The Brazilian Isiah Jones) who recently joined Real Madrid B. Yakubu and Kane are tough cookies, sure two Brazilians would have been very boro indeed.. but how much more Boro can you get than signing YAKUBU! Good young players with strength and pace much more suited to Wilderball in my opinion that the trickier lightweight Brazilians from Shakhtar Donetsk. A bit more rough and tumble from Vorskla Poltava. Maybe we could see our way to have Amilcar Codjovi fixed up with a club in the north east? Good friends with Najeeb Yakubu he might one to trial in the U23s? 20yo and a lot more lightweight. Bit of a Malik Dijksteel type player by the sounds of it.

Deadline is midnight tomorrow and not even a careless wispa..

Great to have Bola back on the reg
Look forward to seeing McGree
Can’t wait for Payero to come back
Balogun is looking terrific
as is Connolly
AND Coburn!!

for the next 11 games who would be our biggest miss, who could we not do without for the playoffs? Howson? Jones?

who is out there ready to hit the ground running at that sort of level?

some very talented players in the Ukraine Premier League.. but the Russian Premier League looks like that next level up.

Would we be ready to press the big red transfer button after the Fulham game?
