Can the general public sytill go to watch the Boto players during their training routines? If so will it be on today?

What I meant to say was; can the general public still go and watch the Boro players during their training routines. Wednesday used to be a day off, is this still the case?

I went a few year ago, parked in the main hotel car park at the top and walked down the side, stood on the grass and watched (With my two kids, not on my own!) and the players all came over for photos and said hello on their way back in. I think we went at about 10, they were already out and they went in at about 12. We passed a security guard bloke who pointed where we should go, im guessing if it was a closed session he would've told us to sod off.

Nothing to stop you parking at the golf club car park and watching from near there. You might get moved on after a bit though, if there's something they don't want anyone seeing.

Cycled there a few times with a mate & just sat on the grass watching them train, no problem at all

You can also walk around the perimeter of the training pitches on the public footpath that runs alongside the river and have a decent view of the area where the first team generally train.

How do you access said path?
It is reached via a wooden gate on the right hand side where the road to the training ground veers off from the road to the hotel.
Alternatively you could drive further into Hurworth and park up then access it off the footpath before you cross the bridge over the railway line, this a better route in wet weather as the first part off the entrance road can get very boggy.
If you are feeling energetic you could combine your visit with a nice approximately 3 mile circular riverside walk back into Hurworth Village where there are a couple of pubs and a nice little cafe in the church.
