I'm wondering if anyone has sacked a caretaker-interim manager before?
I think our perceptions of clubs is largely shaped by how they perform as we are growing up. For me, Spurs highest finish on the first 13 seasons of the PL was 7th, for one season only, and they finished bottom half in 5 of those seasons.
Inevitably, that's what I think of as being "normal" for them
I accept they've been better since then, but a lot of their improvement has been based on the loyalty of a prolific striker who, in all fairness, could do better for himself. I'm not saying they're a one man team, but such a potent weapon makes a massive difference, and Kane will be nigh on impossible to replace.
I do see Spurs sliding back towards that 8th-10th range in the near future.
