Tory Andrea Leadsom says the cost of living crisis is over…

No food group is good or bad as long as you eat the right amount of it. Get the nutrients you need as a minimum and don't consume more calories that you need and everything else in between is fine.

Good fats are ok.

Even Weight Watchers say so 🙂👍

Ok for some, but I don't think the term "good fats" helps, they should just be called bad fats, and the others extremely bad (for most people). The benefits of the "good fats" are probably outweighed by the negatives for most, or they're already getting enough of them where they shouldn't be actively seeking more.

I think weight watchers is another cult/ con to be honest. I'm not convinced they want people to lose weight long term, it's bad for their bottom line. They want people to be uneducated so they buy their products (which are more expensive than equal alternatives), and keep with the overweight/ less overweight cycle.

I think most people would be better off with a gym membership, and going there once a week, rather than a WW meeting. Or even just do any exercise for the time it takes to drive to WW, have the meeting and drive back.

I suppose the public weighing/ fat shaming might kick people into gear though, but it seems a bit of an odd method to me.

The points system is probably no easier than calorie counting mind, but both are also bad without factoring in for the macros/ vitamins/ nutrients etc.

It's pretty difficult to be overweight if you just scoff plenty of lean meat and a load of veggies each meal, high in fibre, have the odd treat and counter that with some exercise.

Education and understanding of all this needs to improve mind, or there's going to need to be a big bail out from Novo Nordisk, my shares in them are doing well at least!
