Tories not wearing masks at parliament but there’s a good reason…

But Commons Leader Jacob Rees-Mogg last week said Conservatives did not need to do so because they knew each other well, and this meant they were complying with government guidance.

We really are run by utter fkwits aren’t we

Covid: Masks mandatory for everyone in the Commons - except MPs https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-59056316

I saw this, how the journalist didn't push back is beyond me. It was clearly an idiotic statement. Make him say what is the evidence that Covid can only be passed amongst strangers and when he can't present any, tell your viewers that this information is not factually correct and harmful. Leaving it unchallenged just normalises idiocy.

Accusing to all the reports I've seen, he didn't say it to a journalist, he said it in the House of Commons.

Tory MPs don't need masks as they know each other, says Rees-Mogg

Unless of course, he repeated it later in an interview but I haven't seen anything saying he did.

Apologies, I have a memory of a reporter asking the question as he left the commons. I will try and have a look and find it, apologies if I have conflated it with something else. Still though, this should be challenged in the house by the opposition, in the press and the commons, we can not normalise this dangerous rhetoric.

Edit. Yeah, I cannot find it, must be a miss memory or I have conflated it with another moronic Mogg statement. My apologies.

Dude, that’s too far.
Even if you do genuinely think that (which is pretty warped in itself reeeaaally) you shouldn’t say that. The hatred just plays into the hands of their minions and fanboys and allows them to redirect the argument onto you. Best to keep that kind of thought to yourself.

I hope they all die.
As has already been pointed out, this is way, way too far. I despise them as much as anyone but if someone said that about the Labour party MPs I would rightly be calling for them out on it and so that has to work both ways. It's a truly appalling thing to say and what's more, it's out of character for you as you're usually a very good poster who is able to state you opinions and support them without resorting to this kind of rubbish.

Well when I say all, I mean the ones who sit at the front.
