Tories exploring scrapping Non Dom tax status

They will consider it, the non dom doners (the ones who really run the country) will tell them they can't do it, end of it.

Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh - look at the armada of small boats!!!!!

Can't see them doing it as it would blow a big hole in one of their favorite attack lines about U-turns, nevermind about upsetting a lot of their big supporters

I’m exploring becoming a millionaire.

Doesn’t mean it will happen
The Tories are trying to close down any labour narrative before the election and cynically spend that non dom tax money on a tax break that labour was going to use for nhs recruitment drives
The Tories are fundamentally evil and power is everything to them and what’s right for the country comes last
I wish people could see this more clearly

Totally understand that and agree, my comment was very much tongue in cheek.

My guess is they would introduce it and plan to implement it it in a few years time, ‘budget’ for it if you will.

They will then find a reason why they can’t implement said budget promise.

The Tories were the ones that said we had to attract lots of non-doms paying zero direct taxes to live in the UK and they would spend their wealth here and it would trickle down to poor people in the UK, a sort of Cayman Islands on Thames. Their evidence were the thousands of rich people from the ex Soviet Union zone buying £10m plus properties in London that was pushing property values in London so high.

Ahhh yes, I'm getting quite nostalgic about the good old days of trickle down economics
Whoever thought you could trickle up :ROFLMAO:
