Top Gear

I've watched about 4 episodes since Clarkson etc got the boot. Just not the same.

Just a watered down version with little banter or chemistry.

It has yet to reach the heights that CMH attained with episodes like Reliant Robin Rocket but that was a long time ago, Top Gear was fading before they left. The show they do on Amazon is pretty poor (though to be fair I haven't watched anything after the second series, there are only so many times you can hope it's going to get better)

Tonight's episode made me laugh out loud a couple of times and smile most of the way through it. Not everyone is going to love it but the fact it has moved to BBC1 suggests it is finding its audience.

That was very cleverly pitched for a first BBC1 effort. Maybe a tad conspicuously "northern", but that never did Corrie or Emmerdale any harm. The scene with Paddy visiting his childhood st, and meeting an old chum was cool.

I enjoyed it. Train guy, how would you have done it? There were some funny bits. Yes admittedly when Chris evans and Eddie Jordan were on, it was 5hite, but I think it's a cracking show

I quite like the latest Top Gear format. As someone said above, it was declining during Clarkson's final years on the show, and the Amazon offering is awful.

They have managed to get back to a more modern bromance format just with younger men. It's laddish and ridiculous, but it's supposed to be,

I enjoy the current line up. Much more entertaining than when Evans and Joey from Friends were hosting.
I get that the BBC are trying to catch lightning in a bottle again but it was Clarkson and Wilman who made the original line up what it was as can now be seen on Amazon where they've got a bigger budget to play with to bring their zany ideas to life.

I liked the Grand Tour, there's some fantastic mini documentary style features in it, a particularly good one about the Ford Cortina.

I gave it a go after reading this thread thinking it must have improved as many positive things been written.

Lasted 25 mins and turned off. Only so much Paddy 'Bolton' droning on. I gave it a go but not for me.

I just think it's possibly run it's course no matter who presents it.
