Sunderland. By so much more than a mile... and for life.

Leeds. More so than I used to and I definitely do.
Newcastle. Less so than I used to, but I still do.
Celtic. I can't believe I only have them at 4.

Liverpool/Everton/Scousers/Hangers on. I'm not even keen on anybody who wishes them well.

There's a few I really don't like but off the scale by comparison with the above.

Foreign teams:
Roma, Boca Juniors

I cannot see the point of hating an Inanimate objects, however;

Celtic , Rangers, Real Madrid, Liverpool , Everton.

In no order.

I have a good few friends and workmates who are Geordies, Mackems and Leeds fans and they are all great people. I also have a very good mate who is a Chelsea fan. So this is my list -

Sunderland
Leeds
Newcastle
Chelsea
Liverpool

Can I turn this question around slightly and ask who we think would hate us? I know Sunlun and the Horse punchers obviously and I hear that Carlisle don't like us for some bizarre reason, but anyone out of the blue?!

1. Sunderland - much more than anyone else. Vile club and supporters. Little brother syndrome with Newcastle means all they talk and sing about is them. I honestly believe they would happily finish second bottom of the league if it meant Newcastle were bottom.

Vile chanting and violent fans. Current fans I know still like to say they are so much better than us despite us winning A cup and playing in a European final, watching world stars like Juni, Rav, Boksic etc while they have Phillips and Quinn. I like to point out to a few Mackem mates that players Sunderland fans think were amazing like Gary Rowell, Alan Johnston, Julio Arca, Boro fans know they were bang average compared to players we have seen (Can even add Paddy McNair to this list).

2. Newcastle - not for being a north east side but for sheer delusion. An example is some goon from their supporters club last summer saying they should always be finishing ahead of “the likes of Bournemouth, Leicester, Palace and Wolves” was just plain arrogance.

3. West Ham
4. Chelsea
5. Liverpool

1) Dirty Leeds - not content with being a team to hate on the pitch (especially in the 70's) they've added their scum supporters to the mix - including getting a brick on the back of my napper at the 1975 match ( although that might have come from Boro fans locked out of the ground!)
2) Liverpool - where to start? Plastic Scousers, taking the moral high ground, massive chips on their shoulders, scum supporters who won't take the blame for anything - plus I got smacked on the napper at the 1977 QF match - worth it just to see Souness threaten to lamp Jimmy Case
3) Sunderland - Horrible supporters and club - and yes, another clip at the 1982 game(worth it to see Mick Baxter (rip) score)
4) Chelsea - where to start ? 2nd leg of play offs?, Wembley (3 times), oh and the ruck in the Holgate pre match in the 70's - no injuries reported!
5) Portsmouth - horrible place to get to and watch a match - supporters , especially in the 70's and 80's seemed to be a mix of all football hooligans serving in the Navy and using Pompey as place to get their kicks ( so to speak!) - oh and I managed to dodge the bricks after the game when we were kept in the ground apparently for our own safety!

I think there's a bit of a theme running through my choices! ;)
