I still don't know but 5 highest point totals for relegated teams in a 38 game season are:
39 Points – Sheff Utd (06/07) & Birmingham (10/11)
40 points – Sunderland (96/97) & Bolton (97/98)
42 points – West Ham (02/03)

Var won't contradict the referee on a tackle unless there was no contact or there was only 1 foot used, even if the referee call was a bad judgement it needs clear cut reasons to overturn the referee in these situations.
 
VAR should at least ask the ref to look again if the red card was a “ridiculous decision”. I agree that there is no consistency with VAR, but there are plenty of times thatI wish it was used in our League.
