Tom Waits - 6 music

I've not listened to Tom Waits for decades. I will get this on catch-up and added him to my Spotify play list. Love his voice but forgot all about him in this digital era.

Was fortunate to see him at Hammersmith Apollo and then at Edinburgh a few years later. Incredible shows.

Soooo jealous. One of the last left on "my list" so to speak. Would imagine he'd upstage pretty much anyone.

Has exceptional taste too so tomorrow should be a belter.

Iam convinced he has at least one more European tour to come, see you down the front
I don't. It took me 28 years to finally get to see him, Edinburgh on the Glitter and Doom tour. During the gig he mentioned how much he was enjoying it and he'd definitely be back. Since then approx 15 years have past. I'd love to be wrong though. Mind, it cost me £205 for two tickets then. God knows what it would cost now!

He's been focussing on acting quite a bit I think. Last studio album was years back right?

He does seem to be a little more active in the media recently so there's always hope!

Did anyone tune in? I thought it was a really well balanced playlist, some absolute gems in the blues/country spheres.

Very much "Iggy's show" so to speak, Waits' contributions fairly limited but sounded like he had a great time!

I thought it was fantastic - two old fellas reminiscing, laughing and playing music they loved.
Much like me and my mater on Satda night playing early Jethro Tull 😂

Also thoroughly enjoyed Tom Robinson's show after this.
Tribute to Shane McGowan - I had a lovely late Sunday
