On the back of this Iv just read the linked article. And it says Dieng only got back in the team after Glover fractured his finger and was Carricks number 1

Dieng came back in because Carrick realised he’d messed up persisting with Glover as some kind of loyalty reward for not going to warm the bench at the Asia Cup.

I'd definitely sell him, even if we only get back what we paid for him. Brynn will be good back-up, although I do understand the concerns regarding it potentially halting his development.
