Today I've been a vegetarian

Literally breaking news:

Vegans fart 7 times more often than meat eaters and each one is 50% more gaseous - Spanish study reported today.

And there it is. In all my years as a veggie I've never once criticised or had a dig at any meat eater for their choices. I view it all as just a personal choice and don't judge anybody by what they eat.

But what I have had, literally hundreds of times, are people - mostly blokes, it has to be said - having a sly dig, taking the pi55, quoting rubbish 'surveys' like that. Doesn't really bother me but I do find it interesting why anyone quietly choosing to eat differently from you would be a target of derision or make you want to somehow prove them 'wrong'. Weird.

I'm going to try for another no meat day tomorrow. Need to do a bit of research on recipes, I'm thinking some sort of curry could be the way to roll for dinner, anyone got any good links/recipes.

Sorry if I offended you - was just meant as a bit of fun.

It's a fair point Harry, but do you not eat a bit wafer thin ham sometimes ?

Just for a bit of balance here the most prolific farter on the entire planet has to be my dad and he'd rather cut off his own 'nads then go for a day without eating meat. I didn't notice any difference in the bottom burp department when I was Vegan. I farted like a trooper then and I fart like a trooper now. Out of BOTH of my ar*ses.

I've been veggie for donkey's and not dead yet.
I'm veggie for all animals not just donkeys 😁. I'm 37 next week and been a veggie since I was a toddler(apparently I chocked on some meat and wouldn't eating it after). I have been veggie for that long I just couldn't even consider the idea of eating meat. My favourite question I get asked is 'why are you a Vegetarian?' My favourite response is 'because I don't eat meat' that may sound like I am being a smart ass in my response but I genuinely don't know why I am a Vegetarian but I have been for that long that its just normal. Its not a ethical choice or health choice it just is what it is for me.

I think Italian and Indian are the way to go for veg food. Italian because it makes the best out of simple ingredients. Indian almost the opposite - all the spices can make bland food interesting.

There's a guy called vahchef who has loads of good Indian stuff on YouTube. And vincenzos plate for Italian.
