To go or not to go

Probably the wrong place to ask as people will judge you by their standards

Personally I always run the deathbed question. On my death bed what would I say, glad I went to the boro game or spent time with my family. That seems to be the 2 choices you have. Your answer is what you should do

It's just a football game at the end of the day and one that isn't too important in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do for the greater good (the greater good). It might bag you some bonus points to use in the future as well.

Imagine having that question as your last on the deathbed. Northumberland or Boro v Stoke? You have a few weeks notice- make deathbed you happy and book the weekend somewhere more exotic. May I suggest Rome?

It's not like you would be missing out on a family party or owt, it's sitting round the telly with a load of geordies.

It sounds like hell on earth. Swerve it, rock up after the game with beers and food or something. You need to put your foot down or they will take the p forever more.

If this tradition only started two years ago ,explain that your tradition, " watching the Boro'' started a long time before this one did. Only one answer, get yourself to the game.
