If people go to gigs or clubs I'd suggest getting some decent ear protection, and not the £1/pair foam things
Even something as cheap as a £12 set will reduce hearing damage by reducing the volume without making it sound crap, e.g
You can go right up to £200 pairs but something like the above would be well worth a buy for occasional gig use
