Timmy Mallett loves Pacitto's in Redcar

I saw a clip of him at the Transporter this morning. It’s a great thing he’s doing, and I’m now following his journey on Facebook.
 
I invented Mallets mallet with my sister 1982. Well perhaps not but he did stay at my families B&B, he wore a bright yellow blazer jacket! Very flamboyant for the Yorkshire Dales! Lovely bloke as I remember.
 
Watched a few of his reels and he is rather engaging even though I avoided his Tv shows way back. A sort of Chris Biggins.

A monumental effort so fa as he started in Kent and he is now heading towards Scarborough having circled Wales and Scotland.
 
I’ve been watching back through all his videos of where he’s been so far. It’s absolutely brilliant. The guy is an entertainer. Kids these days won’t have a clue but for those of us of a certain age he was an institution.
 
I saw Chris Quentin sat outside there once - for those that don’t know him he was Gail’s husband in Corrie. A Boro lad i believe

My late friend Tony Mallett used to work as "the tipper "for the york evening press in the 90s .
His weekly column was describing a different pub crawl with various cronies and was unique.
On one occasion the headline was " Mallet malletts mallet" with photo of timmy hitting him with his prop.
Think by then his fame was on the wane, Oh Yeah !
