Time wasting in the Premier League…

Is treated much more harshly than it is in the EFL.

Man United keeper just got booked for time wasting at a goal kick on the 68th minute. The ref was telling them to get on with it early on in the first half.

Is it because there’s more cameras, scrutiny, media focus? Most probably.

There was plenty of time wasting yesterday but the ref wasn’t in a rush to stamp it out. I also thought the amount of stoppage time at the end was nowhere near enough.

Ref’s seem eager to make an impression in the PL but those in the EFL almost want to go unnoticed.

The extra time being added on is fantastic IMHO. The QPR players yesterday going down at every opportunity should have been sorted by the ref, who I thought had a terrible game.

They were trying it on every time but even so it was still very noticeable compared with last year that they were got up much quicker and with no physio allowed on. I’m not sure there’s much else that can be done there.

I was (not really) surprised to see about seven QPR players suffer what appeared to be life changing injuries on the pitch only to recover fully and manage to continue to the end of the game. Amazing really. Cūnts.

The time wasting/play acting was pretty ridiculous by QPR but not even close to Coventry in the playoffs - the refs need to get a grip on it though an either add 15 minutes on or start dishing yellow cards out
