Time to get rid of the clutter

PC recently f*cked up and after loads of reinstalling and working on it seems to be a problem with graphics card. Anyway its old old old so decided I would get a new on and convert this one for storage. That's got nothing to do with thread by the way.

Decide while awaiting new PC to repaint computer room room. Also nothing to do with thread. So here we go. While moving bookcases and drawers there is loads of music magazines and cover CDs and I have decided enough is enough. They are going in the bin. Mainstream magazines not really collectable, cover discs I tend to take off decent tracks for compilations. So they are going in the bin or to tip. Hundreds more in attic will follow. If I haven't read them in 10 years I am not going to read them soon. Pretty soon will struggle to even get in attic with my knees.

Its amazing the amount of junk you amass.

Advertise them for free and there will be somebody out there who would kill for them . You’d be amazed . Offer em free as long as they come and get them . Save your knees .

Yep bang them on Freecycle - it'a amazing what people will come and pick up.

We use it as a way to get rid of loads of stuff rather than taking it to the tip, and it's good that people will then continue to use / get enjoyment from it.

I thought you were doing a cull of board members when I read your OP

Freecycle is good and don’t forget Erimus if you have any Boro paraphernalia

Never thought of Freecycle but problem is once I get them out of room I don't want to put them back in. Will think about it while decorating.

When I moved a few years ago I spent about a month going back and forward to the recycling centre at Haverton Hill as we found more and more stuff that no-one wanted (including charities). Very cathartic and well worth doing. The guys down there do a great job and are really helpful.

Thousands of live shows downloaded form the Dimeadozen, Traderden etc over theyears. Backed up to DVD. Most are gong it the bin. I need to check out my Trade List(remember them) first to see if I want to keep any. If my wife was still alive she would think aliens had swapped me for another asredastheycome. She was telling me to dump them for years.

We had a good clear out a few weeks ago, was quite a cathartic experience to be honest, quite rewarding too and we've effectively gained another room that Mrs Fufkin is using as a home office/sewing room and we've put a tv in there, drum kit, rowing machine, some bean bags to sit on, it's turned out great to be honest
