I wasn't comparing based on what they won and I would agree with your assessment.
My point was that striving for their own perfection in the golf swing can be damaging and I was just using Rory as a recent example.

Not sure on the exact details but there was a guy who won the british open and went to work on his swing to repeat his success and was never seen again.

Almost, it is officially The Open but it is also referred to The British Open to distinguish it from The US Open and it is also called The Open Championship.

George Best had 3/4 good years in a very good united team
Tiger has been the worlds best golfer/dominated the sport/won everything for 2+ decades, he is literally the greatest ever golfer.

Think that slightly underplays how good Best was. Probably the best footballer in the world for a time in the late 60s. The fact he was the 1968 European footballer of the year is evidence of that.
