There were several questions raised last week about forwarding season tickets from the new digital ticket set-up.
Below are the questions raised that I have lumped together and below that the answers from MFC.
1) Does the person you forward to have to be in your friends and family network - or is there a way to forward to someone else?
2). GRFZ - do they have to always contact the ticket office when forwarding their season ticket (s)? Is this a safeguarding issue?
Answers
(I was told the Club's Data and Insight Exec is working on a way to ticket forward in the family zone but disable the option to change the price type, this means the ratios would always stay the same however the supporter must take responsibility that they meet the price type criteria and it’s not an Adult coming in on an Under 11 ticket for example. What this all means is the club has a responsibility to ensure the family area is used by families and that people are not forwarding concession tickets to adults in this area.
Also - the Data and Insight Exec is looking at the current online guide for adding friends and family to see if he can give it a refresh.

- Yes you can only forward tickets to those in your ‘My Friends & Family’ network. But it’s easy enough to do if the supporter needs people adding to their network. If the recipient doesn’t have a ticketing account, it is easy enough to setup a ticketing account and add them straight to your friends & family network.
- Yes that is correct. When ticket forwarding is eventually functional online, you’ll see that we allow the ability to change the price type. So if an Under 18 ticket is being forwarded to an Adult, they can change the price type to Adult to make sure they don’t get in any trouble for concession abuse. We identified that we couldn’t offer this option to those in the Family Zone as we have a ratio of Adults to Children to abide by, so we had to disable the ability to forward in the Family Zone due to the fact that supporters could forward and upgrade tickets, leading to groups falling outside of the ratio. Supporters can still forward their tickets but they have to do so by ringing the ticket office so that they can check the ratios are still met.
