Ignoring the Chinese but for a moment. If you don’t think Russia invading and murdering 1000,s of Ukrainians isn’t bad then I don’t know what is. Have a word with yourself.

I didn’t say Russia invading Ukraine wasn’t bad
For the record - any nation (east or west) taking the lives of others to further their own interests needs to be called out.

Probably the Chinese have watched the Americans use Facebook, twitter etc to gain influence in most households around the world and copied them. In my books it not just Til Tok that needs banning, but it isn't going to happen.It really makes very little difference to me if the Chinese or the Yanks try to influence me or gain information about me to influence me with very subtle algorithms of news feeds or virals, both countries will do it for themselves and not what my true interests are.

What the Chinese are doing is entirely different and more malicious

I said this to my wife before , who uses TikTok , I think europe and the us ought to ban it . Never mind just ban it’s use on government phones

Let something else replace it. There will be a market for it

I mentioned to the wife that I could do with some new Levi's and when I opened my laptop I had several Levi adverts pop up.

We have Alexas in two rooms downstairs and one in the bedroom, I don't believe for one moment that these aren't listening in on what you say.
