I suggested after the Derby defeat that we needed to go back to the three at the back as we had the best defensive record early in the season. We then actually played it against Huddersfield and Reading and it worked. Tonight we were supposed to be playing it but didn’t. Not once in the first half did we have three back defending. Sometimes one and sometimes none! McNair was left wing and Fry and Dijksteel not marking tight enough. Hopefully just a blip. Keep the same formation and back to normal on Saturday. We need to keep clean sheets because the forward line are average at best. 1.0 Saturday, Fry!
