Thought it was rough here?

As I said, look it up.
Basically all housing planning applications in TV area (and others) are on hold for about a year after Natural England imposed an unannounced condition of “nutrient neutrality” on anything that increases over night stays which includes holiday accommodation etc. It’s to do with nitrogen going in to waterways etc and the WEF target of a 50% decrease in nitrogen (fertiliser) use by 2030 but can be “neutralised” by taking 2.5 acres of farmland out of food production for every 10 new houses. Basically what the Dutch farmers are protesting about but they’re being threatened with having land confiscated if they don’t comply
So if I understand that right……..fcuking the farmers over for greedy property developers!

Strange way to look at it.
Government are saying we need a million new homes then under the “instruction” of WEF impose these stupid laws which will take land out of food production which will mean we’ll have to import more food at a time when people are talking about looming food shortages. The other effect of this is higher carbon footprint by food import when at the same time they’re telling us reduce ours 🤡

I think that you have a wildly imaginative idea of what the UN has the capacity to do.

I'd also argue that climate change is going to affect the ordinary working man or woman quite a lot on a global scale, as it'll make large swathes of it difficult to inhabit for months at a time. So if that's your benchmark, they do care.
Do you think anything we do will stop whatever climate changes occur in the future? I seriously doubt it. Climate change is perfectly natural, it’s not that long ago this country was covered in ice for the most part - who’s fault was that ? From April to October last year was the coldest on record in the Antarctic, i didn’t hear them shouting from the roof tops on that one though ……..

Over 99% of scientists agree that climate change is man made and that further damage can be averted by cutting carbon emissions. It isn't a conspiracy to get you to give up your Range Rover.

Exept the ones that want you to stop driving and flying are the ones that have a Ferrari and fly everywhere in a private jet an own a beach side property - and no it definitely isn’t 99% of all scientists. Explain why we have had such dramatic swings in climate in the past without so called human intervention. What caused this country to go from ice age to the climate we have now within the space of a few thousand years

It's an interesting debate to be had that's for certain. The earth has experienced mass changes in temperature long before oil and gas industry was ever a pipedream. On the other hand industry has contributed to a warming of the planet.

Funky is right though. Why is it those who are screaming from the rooftops that the world should give up meat, give up cars, give up worldwide travel and keep the household carbon footprint to a minimum are always the types who travel everywhere by private jet/sports car/diesel powered yachts, have massive houses and eat whatever wherever they want?

Punishing people for making an honest living like we've seen in the Netherlands isn't the way to get the public onside.

Lefty has been telling me that the EU is heaven on earth.

Everyone who voted to Leave is stupid, bless.

I very much did not tell you that the EU is heaven on earth. That is very much the straw man of all straw men arguments.

It points to a fundamental misunderstanding of the question asked in 2016 and the ramifications, all the ramifications, of the possible answers.

Hence I do agree with your second point, which you succinctly encapsulated in your previous one. Commendable efficiency.

I answered the question

‘Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?’

You either answered the question ‘are there things about the EU, or any of its member states, I can criticise’ which is one form of stupidity, or answered the right question but with so many failures of process or analysis you managed several others.

I'm on the side of the Dutch farmers.

No farmers. No food.
Here’s one for the Tory lovers. Our rough gas storage shutdown in 2017 and means we have little storage capacity: 30 days compared with 90 days in the eu main countries.
It means we can’t fill our storage with lots of LNG ships arriving and take advantage of the situation and protect our selves for winter. A week of cold weather and it’ll be rations on industry wrecking the economy
Nice long term thinking from the Tory leaders. Not

You are right, it's is 97%
