Thought I’d see a ‘No deal’ thread

Disappointed not to see a thread about Johnson’s ideological destruction of the UK which the Tories will carry with them for generations to come 👍

just a reminder though for peeps:

'350 million extra a week for the NHS'
'We hold all the cards'
'They need us more than we need them'
'We will get the easiest trade deal in history'

We will never let you forget those stupid lies you told, Brexiters.

Never.

It’s not about Bolasie but to give ex footy legs hope we can use a transfer deadline day analogy. Yesterday lots of deals will have been discussed, negotiations made, offers and counteroffers made, some will have bluffed to get their way, concessions on all sides may have been made - come 5 o clock some deals were made and some not.

Comparing yesterday to brexit negotiations we are are at about 2 o clock, so still some time to get a deal over the line! The point being there is plenty of time yet for further twists and turns!

If there was/is any intention to get a deal over the line.

I wasnt aware the 31st December had past. Where did christmas go? I sometimes wish they would end a football game after 60 minutes or a horse race with 3 furlongs left but no you have to go the full stretch. The last time I checked the calendar the deadline hadn’t past.

Not to mention rumours that some in Brussels wouldn’t mind a period of no deal to concentrate minds and bring every back to the table. That doesn’t seem to get mentioned much though surprisingly

Ahhh all part of the plan is it?

Or was that the oven ready deal? Or the admission from Boris Johnson that no deal would be a failure of statecraft? Or was that any mention of no deal was "project fear"? Easiest deal in history?

There's too many lies to mention.

Didn’t say it was all part of any plan did I? Simply making a very simple point that its not 31st December which alot seem to think it is. I’m sure you dont knock off work 3 hours early every day because you think you have done all your work and nothing else will change during the last 3 hours.

Erm, the "deal" was supposed to be done. Using your analogy its now working overtime.

I have a question, who thinks:

a) Think there will be a Deal before the 31st Dec 2020
b) Think there will be No Deal

Deals can be made anytime - theres nothing definitive about 31 dec

Well the definitive thing about 31 Dec/1 Jan is that concessions/rates etc are scrapped and advantages/disadvantages of being in the EU have gone if deals are not made.
That's what Brexit is all about.
