Thomas Henry.

People were saying we need to get a class striker in before we pay over the odds. Gyokeres was too late now because of his price. Get this lad in at half the price. (y)
A lot of folks are firmly in the Gyokeres camp, Coventry fans don't seem to fussed in loosing him.

Good move for the lad tbf
Yep. Fair play, sensible move.

He might never have what it takes for top two divisions in this country, but obviously had some potential at a younger age and just needs to play now.

Moving to Italy away from all the distractions might just be what he needs. At least he's giving himself a chance. Never faulted his work rate while he was here, just the fact he couldn't hit a cows ****.

I still stand by my opinion that there is a great player to be found in Balogun, I don’t think we played to, or had a team good enough to play to his strengths. Giving him another season wouldn’t be a disaster
He was getting there, he had a little patch of scoring but then was rotated, so it seemed like he couldn't build on it, I definitely give him another season, but not pick up his full wages.

He was part of the team problem. He rarely had any impact or many good shots on target, didnt hold it up, didnt create, didnt close down, never in a position to score off a cross. Dont really know where he is supposed to play.

The above applies for sporar and connolly too.

If a player isnt scoring goals they have to help out in some way, shape or form.

Balogun in patches looked a decent player, but too often tried the fancy flick or move which resulted in losing the ball and he never bothered busting a gut to get it back. Repeat.
There did look to be something about him, but may well be a player who has to be surrounded with talent to bring the best out of him - he's just not the type of player to be able to do it himself.

He'll sink without trace...
This is genuinely a bold move for the lad. Clearly has the confidence in his own ability to progress and move forward where ever is necessary. A lot of players especially younger players shy away from moving to the mainland , different styles, culture, language. I think it's a very good move for him to grow not only as a player but as a person too. Watching with interest..

I'd go as far as saying Connolly was one of he worst signings we've ever made.
He just seemed to run all over the place and made no progress doing it. He wasn't fast enough, strong enough or clinical enough. It seemed we signed him because he was from a team in the premier league. Which in itself doesn't make a big difference.
He always, whether it was him being tackled or falling over, claimed he was fouled and after failing in his attempt he had this horrible little man syndrome swagger style moody walk when he didnt get the free kick.
Add to the fact I believe Sporar would have went on to be more of a success at Boro if Connolly hadn't have came in.
He's league 1 level, god knows what he was doing in the premier league

I'll take the bit back about the little man syndrome, it was quit harsh...… I'm not exactly a big strong man. It was just a username I thought sounded good

'The mainland'? He's not stuck on some little island off the coast of Scotland.
