This New David Bowie Biopic - Stardust

It was made without the permission of Bowie’s family and contains non of his music whatsoever. Duncan Jones (Bowie’s son) has asked people to avoid the film, he’s a director in his own right (Moon, Source Code, Mute) I think I’ll give it a miss.

Its an insult to the great man.
Never got the whole Bowie thing, not a fan. Over the years I've questioned what it is I'm missing, is there something wrong with me? Then in the last 'Gone Fishing' episode Bob Mortimer declared himself 'indifferent' to Bowie. At last validation, I'm at peace.:)

It's like that Velvet Goldmine film - Bowie wanted absolutely nothing to do with it, refused to let them use his songs, despite it using one as it's title and clearly being "about" him and Iggy. I think he'd have been horrified by the thought of this. Disappointed in Johnny Flynn as well because he's a decent edgy actor, and you'd think he'd have more sense.

Urgh! That looks an abomination.

Clearly film people are destitute with original ideas. Get a success like Bohemian Rhapsody which spawns a number of music icon films quickly afterwards.

Hope it bombs as it should.

Jeez that looks dreadful. Some bad wigs on display and wooden acting. I enjoyed the Elton John biopic, but I'll be avoiding this one.

Seems to be a lot of biographical films about British music acts of a bygone era popping up recently.
Expecting a Showaddywaddy film in 2022 starring Idris Elba and Johnny Depp.
