this is why you don't go out for a jolly.

This is what the Cummings farce and the completely confused message the government Is sending out leads to.

Boris has completely cocked this up. Going to pick my son up yesterday, the roads were bedlam, portrack was hammered. But what can you expect, when the message should have been to sit tight, we are more or less told do as you please.

This has nothing to do with the Dominic Cummings issue.

These are just bell-ends acting like bell-ends do. It was the same last weekend at the river at Richmond and on beaches in the south.

We went there a few years ago.

Got to the top of the cliff, looked down, saw the crowds, turned round, and went somewhere else.

This is crazy, it is a very narrow and steep climb to get back to the car park. Last time I did it I had to stop numerous times to catch my breath. I am unfit, but really thought I was going to have a heart attack. It is a private car park owned by the local holiday park. I bet they loved making the money from all the cars.

These are stereotypical English tools many of whom would have regularly been breaking lockdown for house parties in the gardens or streets. However now they can and will say ‘well Cummings did it’ so it does have relevance to Cummings because he and Boris have provided these simpletons with the perfect excuse they needed.

Parks and beauty spots been packed all weekend. The vulnerable allowed out from tomorrow. Anyone see that balloon release at Seaton for that lad who died in Hartlepool ? Be lucky if infections don't take off again.

As someone who lives in Redcar, about a 3 minute walk from the beach, it's never crossed my mind to go there during this whole thing. Not even for an ice cream, never mind the chip shop directly opposite me.

Part of me believes people are doing this just to say they have, to take a photo for facebook etc.

I've been on Redcar beach with the dog almost everyday during lockdown. Even when fairly busy it's probably one of the easiest places to avoid coming into close contact with someone when out walking or exercising.

I felt sorry for the Police this weeken. Try to advise people in parks for example that they needed to continue with social distancing and being told, “I am using my own discretion”.

Someone interviewed on that clap for the nation slot on bbc said she has tickets to theatre and hopes that they’ll be open in august.

as though the fact it’s closed is the only thing stopping her going now.
