To record our 1st away win since 13th December when we won 2-1 at Wolves & with only one victory, this calander year, we need a win to kick start our season
Big John, with the vast majority of the 32,993 looking & expecting a home victory, our hero answered the call for his beloved Boro to ensure both points would be going back to Teesside on the Beggs bus, when bagging both goals in a 2-0 win
Billy Woof made his away debut, wearing the No12 shirt, his home debut was the previous season in a 3-1 defeat to QPR, BW replaced Phil Boersma in the 2nd half
Big Jacks with 2 visits to Elland road for the Boro resulted in a draw & win picked the following team
Jim Platt
John Craggs
Terry Cooper - on his old stamping ground & still good enough to play for England, IMHO
Graeme Souness
Stuey Boam
Tony McAndrew - making his 3rd appearence & 1st away game, with 3 victories
Phil Boersma
David Mills
John Hickton - his 6th & 7th goals of the season
Willie Maddren
Davey Armstrong
Sub - Billy Woof
