Boro played the final match of a 3 game mini tour of Finland this day 1976
On the 1st August the mighty Boro beat 1st divison KuPS Palloseura 2-1 with goals from Phil Boersma & John Craggs, Boro gave a rare outing to Ted Coleman who featured in a one 1st game & gone thread recently
On the 4th they travelled to HJK & came away with a 1-1 draw, Mr Middlesbrough, John Hickton bagging our goal, Alex McGarritty (not sure who he is, we had Haggerty playing for us back then) coming on as a sub for Bobby Murdoch
Boro's final Finish tour game, 6th August, was against cup winners Reipas Lahti, theyd won the cup 6 seasons on the bounce, Boro winning this game 3-0 with goals from Peter Brine, Stan Cummins & Willie Maddren
